Hull Barbershop Harmony Club was formed as a Club in 2016, and comprises two choruses; the Humber Harmony Chorus singing songs arranged for male voices and Three Crown Sound singing female arrangements. There are also informal quartets formed by members.
We sing a capella (just voices, no instruments) in 4 parts across a range of styles but predominantly in the Barbershop style. Songs chosen range from Barbershop classics (some over 100 years old) to modern pop material.
Harmony singing is great to listen to but even better to be part of, and we're always recruiting (see contacts page if you're interested!).
We often get to sing in a wide variety of public events, and we put on our own shows a couple of times a year which are open to all.
Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings (for Humber Harmony Chorus) and Tuesday evenings (for Three Crown Sound) from 7.15pm till 9pm. Following the pandemic we are soon to return to rehearsing at the New Clarence Pub which is at 77-79 Charles Street Hull HU2 8DE.
